Visual Editor

The visual editor provides a semi-WYSIWYG (What You See Is What You Get) content editor that allows you to easily create, edit and format content, just like you would with a word processor.

With the recent update to WordPress 3.9, the visual editor is now more of a drag-and-drop system. While a lot of the buttons are the same as in the older version, it’s now a lot simpler when it comes to media.

For example, if you want to upload an image, all you need to do is to locate the image on your hard drive and just drag and drop it to the visual editor.

You will see that the image will automatically be uploaded to the Media Library. Simply click the Insert Into Page button, and you’re good to go.

The same goes for other images. For example, if you want to create a gallery, it can now be seen inside the visual editor. As you can see, it’s a lot more intuitive and dynamic, allowing you to see the media that you’re working with.

Also, there are new features that will allow you to simplify the process of editing your image. You are also provided with a lot more options, like in Advanced Options. You can also edit the original image if you wish to resize it, crop it, keep it so it’s scaled to the exact ratio, etc.

Once you’re done editing, you can simply click on the Publish button. And there you have it. All done! Simple and easy, right?
