In WordPress 3.8 we were introduced to an entirely new dashboard design. Now, it’s responsive, modern, and stylish.
However, not everyone likes the dark color scheme. By default, WordPress comes with 8 different color schemes for your admin dashboard. In this course, I will show you how to change the color scheme.
Step 1:
From your WordPress dashboard, go to Users >> Your Profile.
From there, you can see different color schemes for your admin panel.
You will notice that the colors to the right-hand side of your admin panel will change as you click on the corresponding color scheme.
Step 2:
If you don’t like any of the default colors and you want more options, there’s a WordPress plugin called Admin Color Schemes that you can download and install.
If you wish to install this specific plugin, simply go to Plugins >> Add New.
From there, just type in the name of the plugin (Admin Color Schemes), click on the plugin, then install.
Once installed, activate the plugin.
From your profile, you’ll be able to see the additional color schemes.
Step 3:
Once you’ve picked the right color scheme, simply click on the Update Profile button found right below the page.
That’s it, you’re done!
