If you’ve upgraded your version of WordPress to version 3.8, then you’ve probably noticed the slight change in the user interface. There’s not much of a difference, except for a few things, like the themes section and the widgets section. Other than that, the layout is pretty much the same.
If you’re one of those who don’t like the new design and you want to roll back the dashboard to the way it was prior to the 3.8 version, here’s what you need to do:
From your WordPress dashboard, go to Plugins >> Add New.
Look for a specific plugin called wp-admin-classic.
This plugin works by changing your WordPress dashboard’s design. It lets you keep the 3.8 version on the backend and have the old admin style instead.
Once you’ve found the specific plugin, click on the Install Now button, click OK, and then activate the plugin.
This will automatically change your WordPress dashboard back to the old design.
