So, let’s get started!
Adding Images
Step 1:
Log in to your WordPress dashboard and locate your media library. Head on to Media >> Library.
At this point, you will be able to see existing files that you have uploaded. Here, you can find images, video, and/or audio files.
For now, let us focus on adding and formatting images.
Step 2:
If you wish to add a new file, simply click on the Add New button. From here, you can simply drag and drop the file.
From your Computer, you can select on an image and then drag-and-drop it over. You can also select multiple images and upload them simultaneously.
Remember that the maximum file size for uploading photos varies. For most users, it could either be 2MB or 10MB. Depending on your needs, you can contact your web hosting company to increase the maximum file size.
Another way to upload your images is to click on the Select File button. From your Computer, click on your chosen file, open, and then upload.
Format an Image
Step 1:
If you want to format an image, simply select that particular image.
From there, click on the Edit Image button found below the image.
You will be able to use the WordPress image editor tool. From here, you can choose to crop, rotate, flip, or undo/redo your chosen image.
Step 2:
On the right-hand side of the screen, you will be able to see the original image dimensions. You can choose to scale it down or just leave it as it is. You can also restore the image to its original dimensions.
