Turn Your Skill Endorsers Into Clients

What do  you do when someone endorses you for one of your skills? Do you just ignore the person who endorsed you? Or do you perhaps endorse them back?

I used to do either or… And that was a HUGE MISTAKE!

I didn’t see the real value of people endorsing my skills. If you think that the benefit of having people endorse you is simply to have others think that you’re an expert in that skill because you now have about 99+ endorsers, you’re missing out on a lot of benefits.

There’s an even better way to leverage on this opportunity than just that.

How do we do that, you might ask? Simple.

  1. Send them a private message thanking them for the endorsement.
  2. Check out their skills and interests and ask about it.
  3. Offer something of value to do them like featuring them in a blog post or perhaps refer them to one of your connections that might help them with what they do.
  4. Pitch your services strategically.

Here’s how my message looks like when I contact people who endorsed me.

Hi first name,

I appreciate you taking the time to endorse my skills.

I noticed how you are the their position in their company of company, can you tell me more about what you do?

Also, I’m looking to publish an article about (think of a topic that’s in their niche), I’d love to hear about your thoughts on the matter and feature you on my post. Let me know if this is something you might want to take part in.

Kind regards,

Pretty simple, huh? As simple as it may seem, I can tell you right now that this strategy will open doors for you. You’ll either get new clients, or, you can build new relationships which can help you further your career/business.
