Introduction

Hello and welcome to the BuildPath Course on How to Focus Your Business. My name is Eyal Toledano and I’ll be your instructor for this course.

I’ll start out by telling a little bit about me and what I do and why what I’m teaching you today might actually help you build a successful career as an entrepreneur.

I’ve been a technology-focused entrepreneur for the last seven or so years. Over those years, I’ve specialized myself as a Growth Engineer. That’s just a fancy way of saying that I leverage technology to help businesses achieve growth. So I’ve worked with different kinds of companies of all sizes, I’ve consulted for a few startups, I’ve built a few on my own and I’m currently building an online gaming studio with Ian Mason who’s the founder of BuildPath and I also actively mentor and sometimes invest in a few startups.

So what I’m going to be teaching you today is information that I’ve gain myself over the last seven or so years and which have allowed me to gain a level of success and flexibility that I’m comfortable with. So hopefully by the end of this course, you’ll have gain the insights to motivate your own success in your own measures and you’ll be able to do so doing something that you’re really good and passionate about. So let’s get to it.

We chose a fairly cheesy title for the course but by the end of it, you’ll truly understand what focus means, why it should be so important to you and how to go about putting your ideas to work. The goal of this course is to build awareness around the moving parts of your business. So if you’re looking to untangle all of those thoughts about what you should be doing with your business or if you wake up every day and you’re not entirely sure what you should be doing, you know, you’re going to work and you’re on Facebook or you’re just browsing the web or you realized that you just spent the last four hours not actually doing anything, you’ll be in a position where you’ll gain the insights that you need to motivate yourself and to actually grow your business because you’ll know what the machinery for your business looks like and it will be like a business compass that will tell you where you should be spending your time next.

So in other words, we’re going to be learning how to focus your business.
